Exam binder
Hello my lovelies!
In this post (kinda a long one) I will be sharing with you about how I stay organized and anti-stressed when it comes to finals (my least favorite time of the year). Teachers pass out what seems like a hundred papers throughout the semester that they claim will all be on the final. Now for my younger readers that don't have finals (1. LUCKY YOU!) (2. I will have tips for you soon). Anyways, in order to keep finals week stress free you must be organized! I like to keep important papers that I feel will help me either complete the study guide or study for the tests in a binder completely separate from the one I take to school. The other papers (like homework assignments) that probably wont help me on the final I have a different spot to put those (that will be a different post).

Materials you will needThings I suggest you get to fill your Exam Binder:
1. A binder (I recommend an 1 1/2" or 2", mine is 1 1/2") 2. Dividers (I have the Avery Big Tab 8 dividers w/ Pockets) 3. Print outs to decorate the front and back of the binder (links will be below to the print outs that I used on my binder) 4. Spark Charts (I'll explain down below) 5. Sheet Protectors Dividers: For the inside of the binder I started off with some dividers for each class with the addition of Graded Papers, Papers from my freshman year, and old final study guides.
Spark chartsThese little charts are SO HELPFUL when I am confused on something in one of my classes (especially Biology!). For example, it provides very detailed yet simple descriptions of any subject I could possibly need (I have one for Spanish Vocabulary, Spanish Grammar, European History, and Biology)

Decorating the frontThe print out I used for the front was from a website called 'prep of the south' unfortunately that website doesn't provide those templates anymore, so I provided you guys with a similar template from a website called 'preppy diy' (GO AHEAD! Click the button below!, you won't regret it!) ⬇
Decorating the backFor the back of the binder I wanted to keep it simple but functional so I decided to just do a simple (but ADORABLE!) 2013 yearly calendar just to have a general view of the year. Click the download button down below! ⬇
I hope you guys enjoyed my very 1st Tip on my blog, YAY!

Filling the binderPapers to Put in the BinderVocabulary:
This vocabulary is from my English class and I saved it to study for the final and the AP Test my Junior and Senior Year Powerpoints:
This Powerpoint is for my biology class, in my class he lectures and we take notes, but I print out the powerpoints in order to follow along with him and I don't have to write as much :P. When it comes to studying for the final I mostly look at the powerpoints because that is where he gets most of the questions Study Guides:
This study guide is from my spanish class, in a foreign language class there is SO MANY things to remember! So, I like to make study guides before my tests and then it also helps me study for the final |
School Planner
Hello Everyone! In this Tip I will be sharing how I organize my planner for school. My school provides us with planners, however I don't use that one because it is not very functional (or cute) :P. So I bought a fairly inexpensive planner at Target at the beginning of the school year (Early August). Unfortunately, I do not know if they still carry this exact planner, but there are very similar one's. Also I would recommend that wait until the next school year to purchase a planner because, my planner starts in July and ends in June (academic year) and the one's you would purchase now would start in January and end in December (so you would waste half of the planner). I will try to link the planner down below if I can find it on the Target website or the brand's website. ENJOY!
My PlannerMy planner is by the brand Blue Sky (it is my favorite brand!) and I got it at Target in early August. I wasn't able to find the exact planner on the website so I linked a similar one down below. (GO AHEAD CLICK THE BUTTON) The one in the link is the same size and price, but a different pattern. You don't need this exact one, there are dozens of different patterns and sizes on the site. ENJOY! Disclaimer: I am not a professional photographer, I just took these pictures with my iPhone 5. I am the owner of these pictures. I am not being sponsored by Blue Sky. All of these opinions are all my own

Month ViewThis is the month view of my planner, I still fill it out even though I don't use it that much, I mostly use the week to week view. I'm showing you the month of November because I thought it had the most variety. Color Coding: I color code my planner to appease me more and to stay more organized. Here is the key I use, you do not need to use these exact colors and categories. |
Week viewThis is the weekly view of my planner (the part I use the most). This is a week in December and not current, but I chose this one because it utilizes all of the colors of my color coding system. Color Coding: Blue- Tests Green- Quizzes Yellow- Study Guides Pink- Essay Orange- To study for tests or quizzes Purple- Finals (not pictured)

Taking Organized outline notes
Hi everyone! I know it has been awhile since I have updated (I haven't forgot about you!) As my apology I decided to give you guys another tip, so I am going to tell you guys how I take notes and my techniques. Taking notes is SO important for school, because it is mostly what you reference when studying for a test. I am an avid believer in that taking good, concise notes will really help you organize your thoughts in order to study for a test. Taking bad notes is just as bad as not taking any notes at all, so make sure you pay attention if you are notorious for taking bad notes!
